Where synastry looks at two people, a composite chart treats the relationship as a third thing with a character of its own: how it operates, what it is good at, where it is fragile, and how likely it is to hold over the long term. Sky recommends taking it together with synastry, because the two answer genuinely different questions.
What it answers
- What is this relationship, as its own thing
- What it is strong at, and where it is structurally fragile
- Whether it is built for the long term
What Sky needs from you
The date, time and place of birth for both people. If one of the two birth times is unknown, say so on the form rather than guessing. A guessed time is worse than an absent one, because it quietly moves everything.
Often taken with
- Synastry
- Two charts, side by side. How two people actually affect each other.
